Neodymium rare earth magnets are the intermetallic compounds which consist of rare earth elements R and iron, boron. R is mainly the neodymium and combination of neodymium and other rare earth elements; sometimes with cobalt, aluminum, vanadium and other elements to replace part of the iron.
Neodymium rare earth magnets have strong magnetic anisotropy and high saturation magnetization, whose representative magnet components are Nd15Fe77B8 (atomic ratio). Among all the permanent magnet materials, sintered Nd-Fe-B magnets have the highest performance, whose maximum magnet energy (BH) max is 360kJ/m3, intrinsic coercive force (iHc) can be up to 800 ~ 1400kA / m. However, the Curie temperature of the neodymium rare earth magnets is so low (314 ℃), with poor temperature stability and corrosion resistance. The neodymium rare earth magnets are limited use at higher temperatures and in most cases requires the protective coatings.
The manufacturing processes of neodymium rare earth magnets are powder metallurgic method and melt-spinning method.
Due to good magnetic performance, neodymium rare earth magnets have obtained a wide range of applications, mainly used in electric motors, generators, acoustic transducers, sensors, medical devices and magnetic machinery.
The neodymium rare earth magnets are invented by the Japanese contemporary scientists Zuo Chuan Zhen Ren. They are the alloy magnets made from neodymium, iron, and boron, which are the strongest permanent magnets.
Sintered NdFeB magnets (sintered neodymium magnets) are the strongest magnetic properties practical magnetic materials by far. Compared with the usual AINiGo, ferrite magnets, sintered NdFeB magnets (sintered neodymium magnets) have very excellent magnetic properties.
